Dyne Conversion

It is a unit of force which is used to representing force. It is derived in the centimeter-gram-second system of units which was predecessor of the modern SI.

Dyne is a force which is required to accelerate the mass of one gram at the rate of one gram per centimeter square.

The force which is applied for one second on one gram mass to change the velocity of one centimeter per second. One dyne is equal to 10 micro newton.

The name dyne was proposed by the committee of British Association for the advancement of science in 1873.

It is represented with dyne or dyn.

As far as it usage is concerned, surface tension is measured by the dyne per centimeter. The surface tension of water is 71.99 dyn/cm. at 25 degree Celsius.

In dyne conversion, you can easily solve the following problems:

Based on the above formulas, dynes can be easily converted into other force units.
